Original painting

Tvättid places a quiet moment of reading within the highly regulated space of the Swedish communal laundry room. Surrounded by schedules, rules, washing machines and the familiar blue IKEA bag, the figure inhabits an environment shaped by distinctly Swedish systems of shared everyday life.
